The series 1008 victory improves the best-of-7 NBA playoff series records of the Chicago Bulls to 23-15 overall and 1-2 in the Preliminary round. The series 1008 loss lowers the best-of-7 NBA playoff series records of the Miami Heat to 8-5 overall and 3-1 in the Preliminary round. Series 1008 becomes the 999th MLB/NBA/NHL playoff series to be completed in the combined history of the NBA (since 1947), NHL (since 1939), and MLB (since 1905). Series 1008 is the fourth best-of-7 NBA playoff series sweep achieved by Chicago, and the first suffered by Miami.
