The series victory improves the Dallas Stars best-of-7 NHL playoff series record to 13-10 overall and 7-5 in the Preliminary round. The series loss reduces the Anaheim best-of-7 NHL playoff series record (as both the Ducks and the Mighty Ducks) to 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the Preliminary round. The victorious Dallas Stars followed a win order of WWLWLW in series 1030: Series 1030 thus becomes the fifth NHL Preliminary-round series, the fourteenth NHL series (all rounds), and the 30th MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow this win order.
