With the series 1549 win, the Arizona Diamondbacks improve their best-of-7 MLB playoff series record to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the Semifinals round. With the series 1549 loss, the Philadelphia Phillies see their best-of-7 MLB playoff series record fall to 6-8 overall and 4-2 in the Semifinals round. The win order for the victorious Arizona Diamondbacks in series 1549 was LLWWLWW: Series 1549 thus becomes the first MLB Semifinals-round series, the second MLB series (all rounds), and the 21st MLB/NBA/NHL series (all rounds) to follow that win order to completion. The Arizona Diamondbacks in series 1549 become the first MLB/NBA/NHL team (in eight tries) to open a best-of-7 playoff series LLWWL @ VVHHH, and then win Games 6-7 on the road to win the series; in the previous seven series, only twice did the trailing team even force a Game 7.
